PELHAM, AL - Rounds six and seven of the Spring National Series has the Mullinax Racing team traveling more north than ever before to Wythe County, Virginia and Tazewell, Tennessee.
After two races in his home state, Caden had to quickly turn around and travel for two of the biggest races on the Spring National Series schedule. The team will set out Thursday for Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia before finishing the trip at Tazewell Speedway on Saturday.
The Friday race at Wythe will be Caden's first trip to the long half mile high banked oval where he will compete for the $10,053 grand prize. This will also be his second race with his new Black Diamond chassis, along with being the first half mile racetrack that he has faced.
On Saturday the team will travel back south to Tazewell, Tennessee, for the highest paying race of the series, the 75 lap, $21,000 to win Lil Bill Corum Memorial. This race will feature not only the series regulars but also many of dirt racings greatest teams.
Tazewell Speedway is a one third high banked oval that features high speed racing and close quarters action. Here, Caden will be in for his biggest challenge yet as this will not only be the longest race that he has entered, but also the most prestigious.
Though there is a threat of rain on the weekend, Both Caden and the team are looking forward to the challenge they have set for themselves. Caden currently sits fifth in the Spring National Series points and looks to creep his way forward and close in on Points leader Carson Ferguson.
