PELHAM, AL - After two consecutive rained out weekends for Caden Mullinax he is prepared for a big weekend in North Carolina and Georgia.

With the last five Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals races being rained out Caden Mullinax is itching to get back out on track to compete. This weekend he will be competing at Tri County Race Track in Brasstown, NC, and Rome International Speedway in Rome, GA.

Friday will have the Mullinax Racing team traveling just north of the Georgia border to Tri County Race Track for the $7,553 to win 53 lap feature. Tri County Race Track is actually the home of the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals as they are based out of Brasstown.

This will also be Caden's first time at the North Carolina track and also Mullinax Racing's first trip to either Carolina to race. The weather has a hint of rain on Friday afternoon and hopefully that will go away.

Saturday will have the team travelling back south as they race at the historic Rome International Speedway. Rome will feature a $10,053 to win feature that will mark the first return to the track for the Spring Nationals Series since 2021.

Rome did not hold any events during the 2022 season, instead focusing on improvements to the track and facilities. The half-mile clay track is not only one of the largest tracks in the area, but it also features a unique "uphill" and "downhill" feel to it.

There does seem to be rain in the forecast for Rome, Ga, that Saturday but hopefully it will go away and allow everyone to race.

Caden still sits fifth in the points in the Spring Nationals Series and looks to improve on that. He has not raced since the last Spring Nationals event over a month ago at East Alabama Motor Speedway.

You will be able to follow along and get updates on the weekend by going to the Mullinax Racing Facebook page or get exclusive content from the pits on Instagram @MullinaxRacing.
