PELHAM, AL - On the weekend of March 31st, races four and five of the Shaeffer's Oil Spring National Series will take place in Alabama.

The Mullinax Racing team will compete in their home state this weekend for the first time since the Ice Bowl at the start of January. Friday night Caden Mullinax will compete in the $7,553- to-win Spring National's race at BuckShot Speedway in Clanton, AL, followed by the $10,053-to-win race in Phenix City.

Coming off of a successful weekend at 411 Speedway, Caden sits in the eighth spot in the Spring National's points and looks to improve on this at Buck Shot. The team took two weeks off in order to regroup before another multiple week stint on the road for the series.

This will be Caden's second race at BuckShot Speedway which is in its sophomore season of operation. The first came last year when both brothers battled in the 604 Late Models in 2022.

BuckShot Speedway is a 3/8ths mile clay oval that proposes a unique challenge with the track's ability to hold moisture for the entire night of racing. This results in a tacky and fast race track that will produce fast laps and hard action for all of the 53 lap feature, a change from the dry slick tracks previously raced on.

Saturday night the team will be in Phenix City, Alabama, home of East Alabama Motor Speedway, where Caden will drive for the $10,053-to-win John Thomas Memorial. This will be the first trip for Caden to the newly renovated track.

The John Thomas Memorial will also be a 53 lap feature and will be the fifth race in the Shaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals season. This high banked track usually features fast and action packed racing on a dry slick surface.
