PELHAM, AL - The final weekend of the 2023 Spring Nationals Series will feature three races in three days to decide the final finishing order for Caden Mullinax in his rookie attempt at the title.
Caden currently sits fifth in the Scheaffer's Oil Spring Nationals Series and will try to solidify his top five finish in points after races at I-75, North Georgia, and Duck River. Carson Ferguson currently sits on top of the series points with Haiden Cowan leading the M2 in the Rookie of the Year points battle by a slim margin.
Friday, May 26th, the Mullinax Racing team will leave for I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee for the $7,553 to-win forty lap feature. I-75 Raceway is a 3/8 mile red clay oval with a wide track that allows for daring racing and high speed action.
The next day the team will travel south to Chatsworth, Georgia to North Georgia Speedway for round nine. North Georgia took the place of Boyd's Speedway on the schedule after the Chattanooga track unexpectedly shut its doors midseason.
Not only did North Georgia take Boyd's spot on the schedule but it also raised the purse from North Georgia's original race that was rained out in March. The now $10,053 to-win fifty-three lap feature will be Caden's and the rest of the Mullinax Racing team's first time at the 1/3 mile track.
North Georgia usually features dry slick racing, which favors the Mullinax Racing team and Caden's driving style. The penultimate race of the season will set the stage for the championship race the next day.
Sunday will see the team drive just south of Nashville, Tennessee, to Duck River Raceway Park, a track the team has become familiar with over the last two seasons. Duck River will host the season finale with a $10.053 to-win race to decide it all.
The last time the team went to Duck River Raceway Park it was with a 604 Crate Late Model that Josh Adkins used to make the Iron Man Late Model series finale last November. This will also be Caden's second time driving at Duck River after using the testing at the track last Spring.
